About The Author
As the eldest of four children, Leslie was driven by competition and a commitment to excellence through competitive athletics. She was a two-sport athlete in high school and a walk-on collegiate basketball player. A West Texas native, Leslie graduated with honors from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Physical Therapy program. After college, her passion for new challenges and the outdoors led to pursuits in backpacking, snow skiing and slalom water skiing.
In 2007, Leslie suffered a traumatic and life-changing injury that forged a path of suffering for her over the next three and a half years. A follower of Christ since childhood, the Lord used this event, knowing her pursuit of excellence in the midst of challenges, to bring her closer to Himself through the trials of her recovery. “One Life” is a deeply personal reflection of those experiences, showing the transformational work that is possible when we, as God’s people, simply cooperate with Him through the events unique to every life.
Have you ever experienced a moment that changed your life forever?
One instant Leslie is on the lake with her friends, enjoying the wind in her hair and the exhilaration of speeding across the water. In a split second everything changes.
